Technological Process

After having achieved the clay or plaster sculpture, the following phases of the technological process required to translate the sculpture from clay or plaster into metal succeed each other, as mentioned below.
The materials used are state-of-the-art, each of them being accompanied by a quality certificate.

1. The making of the silicone/plaster mold

2. The rebuilding of the artwork in wax

3. The successive addition of several layers of refractory ceramic shell over the wax components of the artwork

4. The calcination of the refractory forms (shells)

5. The pouring of the metal in the refractory shell

6. The knock-out of mold (of the refractory shells) and the preparation of the component parts of the artwork for the subsequent assembly process

7. The assembly of the components by shielded metal arc welding

8. The finishing and the patination of the artwork
